SFN Member in Turkey Handles Challenging Power Plant Shipment

SFN Members in Turkey, Origin Logistics, shared another of their recent oversized shipments.

Metin Elmas, Operation Manager, Mersin, told us more: "Origin Logistics' Project team continues to expertly handle oversized shipments, without a break. This time, Mersin branch was on the field to perform. A circuit breaker was loaded at Antalya, inside a power plant, which made the process very dangerous and restricted our area to work, but our experienced team handled all sensitive works on time and securely.

The hardest part was getting the product out, to a suitable apron, to do the crating and enabling us to load it via a Crane, inside to an open top container. The power plant was very small and ceiling was very low.

After that, the cargo was loaded onto the special low bed because the overheight was 1.35 meters and, due to the winding roads, we had to use a special truck to increase the balance and road holding during the passage up to Mersin Port.

All necessary Lashing items and protection materials were used, as you can see in the photos.

We are very happy to share this news with the network."
