Interfreight Linc Logistics, SFN member in Singapore, recently shared one of their latest ventures: a full charter for a barge shipment.

Simon Ng, Head of Sales & Marketing at Interfreight, told us more:

"For this operation, we arranged for a 150ft barge with a full charter, accompanied by two tug boats with 800hp each. On 9th April at 10:30 hours, the barge and tug boats arrived at the dock and we hired a 700-meter mobile crane for cargo operations. 

The barge and tug boats departed at 15:00 hours on the same day and were expected to reach Jakarta in about five days, with a speed of 5 knots.

During the operation, we loaded a total of nine packages, which included a diesel generating set, an intake module, and a discharge module, for a power generating project in Jakarta. 

The heaviest packages weighed 50,800 kilograms each, and there were three of them. Overall, the total weight of the packages loaded was 261,000,000 kilograms, and they occupied a volume of 1075 cubic meters.
