SFN recently announced a new alliance with eCargo.Cloud, a cloud based ERP system that covers all the needs of a forwarder. This excellent system has immediately impressed SFN members.
Bright Lines Cargo, SFN member in Bulgaria, has started using the eCargo.Cloud system already.
“1. QUICK INTRO
Bright Lines Cargo Ltd is a Bulgarian company who provides a full range of forwarding, transport and logistics services. The company is Dachser agent for Air & Sea activities in Bulgaria.
Due to a common ownership Bright Lines is connected with Transpress, one of the main Bulgarian forwarding, courier and trucking companies. The company has its own fleet of more than 180 trucks, serve lots of international destinations with daily departures/arrivals to /from whole Europe, and has the biggest domestic coverage in Bulgaria.
In our days the combine transportation services take more precedence before classical single mode of operations. Thus using our partner’s broad road freight platform we “create” and offer different combine products in all transport segments through different European hubs. It is our believe that together we could offer much more to all our partners & customers.
2. WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Our HQ is situated at Sofia airport, but we have a full operational coverage in the country though 21 depos located in different strategic places
3. WHAT DID YOU NEED?
Most of the forwarding companies on BG market are technologically far beyond the requirements of digital era. It is our believe that to be at the competitive edge, nowadays, we would need to cover three main prerequisites:
- Motivated staff
- Management awareness
- Control over all business processes
The above aims could be completed through a modern & efficient ERP system. It could optimize our business model and change the whole office environment in a positive direction.
4. WHAT SYSTEMS AVAILABLE
Till that moment we have been working with an operational system under DOS. But is consider it as an old one, with depleted opportunities.
5. REASON FOR CHOOSING eCARGO.CLOUD
I was immediately captured by eCargo.Cloud, by its clear logic and simple design. This happened during the SFN AGM meeting in April 2017 where the system has been promoted by Mr. Socrates Pampoukidis.
Since then I have been exploring many ERP systems offered by different providers both local and international ones. I gathered lots of impressions and at the end I have referred to my first intuitive choice – this has been eCargoCloud. This cannot be explained logically, but it was a logical decision.
It was obvious that the system has been made by people with experience in forwarding business and thought about many opportunities and situations. It is like a “living “organism and we see potential for future needs development.
6. AFTER THOUGHTS AFTER TRAINING?
The training took place in our office in Sofia. We all registered a funny thing – the system was so intuitive that even our employees who touched it for a first time started to work immediately. The training was delivered in a very synthesized manner and was as fully understandable as possible for all of us who are not IT specialists and do not speak this IT language.
7. WHAT EXPECTATIONS DO YOU HAVE?
The expectations are for a complete change in our office environment. This new system should enhance our service level and enable us to meet or even exceed the ever increasing requirements of all our customers.
What I mean by changing our entire office environment:
EcARGO would allow all employees to have access to the necessary information wherever they are; would fully optimize / renew our relationships with customers, partners and suppliers, would organize their tasks on the move, would issue invoices whenever needed and sell on the go.
We will be able to offer to our customers’ additional services much faster, automated, and innovative and up –to-date with new trends.
Our managerial staff in turn will receive a powerful tool to take control over the complete administrative flow of our operations. Thus could allow them to manage their business anywhere, anytime. And at the end they will get an easiest and simplified way to do the ART of forwarding... :)
8. FINAL IMPRESSIONS
It is our belief that we made a good choice and we look forward to the results of implementing Ecargo.Cloud.
