Jutlandia Terminal, SFN members in Denmark, have shared one of their recent shipment:
Maiken Spangsberg Thygesen, Logistics Coordinator, told us:
"Jutlandia cooperates closely between departments. Two weeks ago, Jutlandia was responsible for the complete process of coordinating transport, loading, lashing and securing heavy cargo. The logistic department operated for this specific job as a one-point-of-contact, where the coordination between departments occurred.
With the “one-point-of-contact” service Jutlandia offer, they simplify the process for their customers, who has only one contact person regardless of the subject matter.
Jutlandia arranged pick up of the cargo at their customer in Esbjerg, and had it delivered to the terminal at Europakaj in Esbjerg. Due to the special dimensions of the cargo, it had to be reloaded onto a flat, suitable for transporting cargo, which do not fit a standard solution. After the loading, Jutlandia’s terminal workers lashed and secured the cargo to the flat and made it ready for sea freight. The cargo was then transported to Aarhus, with Panama as the end destination.
