SFN Operations Manager Jess Baker regularly hosts Zoom Socials, to allow our members the opportunity to talk and connect in between annual meetings.

Jess told us more: "We met today for the final Zoom Social of the year; it was quieter than usual in terms of attendees but by no means less lively in terms of discussion.

We talked about the UK customs regulations and the increase in complexity since Brexit; the costs of maintaining certification as a smaller business; the new plastic tax laws in Spain and how they affect forwarders; personal effects shipping and other specialised areas; adaptability in an ever-changing market; what smaller forwarders can do to compete with 'the big boys'; the importance of networking and nurturing personal relationships within the industry. It was a very interesting discussion."
