How did you start out in Freight Forwarding?

"I started as an operations assistant in a logistics company, then was assigned to different departments like Sales, Accounts and Freight Management, or Pricing."

Your thoughts on the logistics industry today and how things have changed due to the Pandemic?

"The Logistics industry has definitely been affected by the current Pandemic, but it won’t and can’t be stopped, as this is one of the most important industries worldwide."

What are the main challenges facing independent forwarders?

"Pricing, connections with carriers, financial capability, and staff knowledge."

How relevant is networking in today’s forwarding industry?

"Networking is very important. Without a network, you won’t get the proper assistance needed from country of origin or destination.

SFN has brought us many benefits and positive effects; partners here are very active and support every member of the network. We would definitely recommend SFN to other forwarders!"

How do you see the future for independent forwarders?

"Freight forwarders will always be successful if they have the proper knowledge of how to run and manage a forwarding business. Connections with carriers is the most important factor in order to offer good rates to their clients and partners, and along with this, we as a forwarder must have good facilities to offer our customers.
