SFN Operations Manager Jess Baker recently hosted two Zoom Socials for SFN members to connect, chat and discuss potential business opportunities.

Jess told us more: "The Zoom Socials are a great way to connect our members for a fun, social chat. We met today and shared updates from around the world, with members from Africa, Europe and Asia all in attendance. 

We discussed the service capabilities of the companies on the call (including project cargo, LCL, DG shipments, perishable shipments, customs clearance etc.), what commodities they were moving and to where, as well as the need for specialised, professional companies in a network. We also touched upon the importance of agents having a strong, proven track-record (many of our members have been in business for 10, 20, 30+ years).

Lastly, I reminded our members of our dedicated Payment Monitoring System, which is a useful tool for all members, to track invoices and payments within the network. It was a very enjoyable and successful call."

Jess concluded, "Zoom is a great platform for us to connect throughout the year, in between our annual meetings. Putting a face to a name, when contact is usually via email, really helps build a rapport and stronger relationships."
